I believe that you are doing the best you can with what you have learned through experience.  At Journey Well Now I support and guide you towards your desired changes so that you can live the life you want now.

I have been working as a licensed clinical psychologist for over 20 years, serving adults in both individual and couples’ therapy.  My style is supportive and non-judgmental in order to create a safe and trusting atmosphere.  As a Humanist, I believe that people are always striving to succeed, but at times are blocked by fears, doubts and loss of clear identity.  I see my clients as collaborators in the therapeutic process, and together we create a personal path for growth and change. 


I utilize several approaches within a Humanistic framework.  These help you identify areas for change and come to your own answers.  I also incorporate other therapy techniques including CBT, EMDR and Guided Imagery.  These increase your coping strategies in order to make the changes in the “here and now” that enhance your life.

Therapy Terms:

  • Humanistic therapy is grounded in the belief that you have the potential to develop a strong and healthy sense of self. 

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) teaches you to recognize self-defeating beliefs and thoughts that impact your emotions and behavior.  With CBT, you examine those negative beliefs and thoughts and build concrete, usable skills to create a new inner dialogue.

  • EMDR is an interactive therapy used to relieve psychological stress.  I use it to relieve anxiety, resolve past hurts and facilitate personal growth. 

  • Guided Imagery is form of meditation that can be used for self-exploration, to release stress and alleviate anxiety immediately.



  • Panic attacks:  Acute physical symptoms of distress that can be mistaken for a purely physical condition and can lead to avoidance of perceived causes and triggers of the panic attacks.

  • Generalized Anxiety:  The tendency to worry on a regular basis with some accompanying physical symptoms, i.e., muscle aches and pains, stomach problems, headaches.

  • Social Anxiety:  Self-consciousness and discomfort in one or more social situations.

  • Performance Anxiety:  Difficult doing something when being observed.

Stress and adjustment issues related to change, including grief, loss and new life events.  (Even good changes can be stressful!)

Self-esteem issues that result in self-doubt, insecurity, and a lack of confidence.

Couples/relationship issues:  I emphasize mastering good communication skills, which are the foundation upon which we can lay out issues and resolve the efficiently.


The average cost per session is $140 to $210.  Please speak to me regarding my current standard fee schedule.

Some insurance is accepted including Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Multi-Plan and Optum/United Healthcare.
